About Me
Radio calendula is a variety of Calendula officinalis, commonly known as the pot marigold.
I'm a person, commonly known as Mariah Laugesen (Mariel) IRL, and CalendulaAsteraceae (Calendula, Callie) online. I'm fluent in English and Spanish, know some Italian, and am learning French. Feel free to talk to me in any of these languages (or others, but in that case I make no guarantees).
My interests include:
- Programming—I'm a full-stack developer at my day job, and I spend a good chunk of my free time working on modules for Wikimedia projects
- Digitizing public-domain works
- Creating vector graphics
- Translation, linguistics, and language-learning
- Mathematics
- Tatting (shuttle lacemaking)
